We’d like to clarify an issue that many users have recently asked about.

 1. Website Account Creation (404 Error)

• In the past, users were able to create Battle.net accounts via the website and log in to the game.

• However, this is no longer possible.

• All Battle.net accounts must now be created directly in-game via the Warcraft III client.

• The “404 Error” on the website registration page is intentional and expected behavior.

 2. Deleted Account Shows as "Already Exists"

• Some accounts that were inactive for 14 days may have been automatically deleted.

• However, if you attempt to re-create the same account name, you may encounter an error saying:

  “This account already exists.”

• This is a known issue currently being resolved.

• We will post an official announcement as soon as the issue is fully fixed.
